North Coast Rivers Alliance, based in Fairfax, CA, was formed in 2004, to fill a gap left by major environmental groups who we felt were settling too early in the litigation processes. Wild salmon needed a group who would stay the course and not capitulate. NCRA is a barebones organization, designed for fast and effective litigation when government agencies fail to protect our rivers, endangered fish, and water quality. In addition, we litigate to protect all living species—especially pollinators— from pesticide damage.

The Alliance stands firmly for eliminating the use of tar sands crude oil in the world’s sources of energy.
